Meet Our Instructors

  • Brian Viglione (Lead Instructor)

    Coach Brian has over 36 years of experience on the mat between wrestling and Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu. He brings world-class technique and high-level coaching to the mats. Brian began his Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu journey in 2005 after his collegiate wrestling career ended. He received his black belt in 2016 under Andre Dedeco Almeida.

    Early in his Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu career Brian was active in competition. Some of his notable achievements include gold medals at the NoGi Pans at blue and purple belt, as well many other IBJJF and regional tournament gold medals. Brian also earned a gold medal at the World Police and Fire Games in Freestyle Wrestling.

    Brian has a passion for teaching Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu. He brings a unique style and high energy into the training room!

  • Alexandra Bazzani

    Coach Alexandra Bazzani is currently a brown belt in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu.  She started Jiu Jitsu at the young age of nine years old and has competed ever since. 

    She has a passion for teaching children on and off the mats, as she is currently studying education at her university.  Coach Alexandra enjoys sharing her enthusiasm for the art with her students, whom she has created strong bonds with.

    After competing from a young age and receiving many hard-earned awards, she continues to do so and has shared her love of competing with her students.

  • Tom Bolton

    Tom has over 24 years of law enforcement experience, recently retiring at the rank of captain from the Nashua, NH Police Department.  He was a member of the Nashua Police command staff for 5 ½ years.  The Nashua Police Department is staffed for 182 officers and operates with a 40-million-dollar annual budget.  

    Tom has experience conducting internal investigations, background investigations, complex criminal investigations, drafting and assessing policies, public relations, developing training, public speaking, performing audits and leading patrol operations.  

    Tom served for many years on the Nashua Police Department’s Major Crime Scene Unit, the Media Relations Unit, and as Incident Commander responsible for the security at major civic events.  Tom was also a member of the Honor Guard for two decades, ultimately serving as the unit’s commanding officer for a number of years.  

    In his last role at the Nashua Police Department, Tom oversaw the active threat training for all the 18 Nashua schools, as well as many businesses.  Tom is a certified instructor for Multiple Assault, Counter Terrorism Capabilities (MACTAC) and Civilian Response to Active Shooter Events (CRASE).  

    He is an active practitioner and instructor in Brazilian jiu jitsu.  Tom is currently a second-degree black belt in the sport.  He is a veteran of the U.S. Coast Guard.  Tom holds two master's degrees from Boston College.  

  • Chris Toomey

    Coach Chris served in the United States Marine Corps from 2004-2010. During his Marine Corps career he had the honor and privilege to serve with some of the finest warriors this world has to offer during two combat deployments to Iraq in 2006 and 2007/2008. While in the Marine Corps Coach Chris was introduced to the Marine Corps Martial Arts Program and fell in love with the ground fighting aspect of said discipline.

    2010 Chris ended his career for decisions to return home to New England and start a family. Chris was also hired as. Police officer with Nashua Police Department and is still currently serving the city of Nashua as such. In 2013, another coach at Bazzani BJJ, Tom Bolton, introduced Chris to the beautiful art of BJJ.

    In 2023 Chris had the honor and privilege to receive his black belt from Bazzani Brazilian Jiu Jitsu and the belt was tied on by both of his BJJ mentors, Tom and Brian.

  • Daniel Goncalvez

    Coach Dan Goncalves is a 1st-degree black belt in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu under Professor Dedeco Almeida, with over 15 years of experience on the mats. Known for his technical precision, patience, and passion for teaching, Coach Dan is dedicated to helping students of all levels build confidence, discipline, and skill through Jiu-Jitsu.

    Whether you're stepping on the mat for the first time or refining your black belt game, Coach Dan brings deep knowledge and a motivating presence to every class.

  • Robert Ludwig

    Rob’s been training Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu since 2008 and earned his black belt at Bazzani Brazilian Jiu Jitsu in 2022. His background in wrestling and wakeboarding played a big role in shaping his style on the mats, bringing a mix of balance, body awareness, and grit to his game.

    He’s been teaching at Bazzani Brazilian Jiu Jitsu since 2021 and brings several years of experience as a wrestling coach. Rob’s goal is to break things down and help students at all levels improve their overall game.

    Outside the gym, Rob works as a Police Officer and runs a successful community outreach program where he teaches BJJ to local youth—using the sport to build confidence, discipline, and connection.

  • Gerard Ditolla

    Gerard is a Brazilian Jiu Jitsu black belt and coach, a United States Marine Corps combat veteran with over 20 years of law enforcement experience.

    He is passionate about watching his students excel both on and off the mats.

  • Scott Spencer

    Scott Spencer is a Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu Black Belt and a striking coach with more than two decades of experience across Jeet Kune Do, boxing, Muay Thai, and Filipino Kali.

    Known for clear instruction and a safety-first room, he teaches striking that serves grapplers: efficient footwork, distance control, timing, and clean mechanics that connect smoothly to clinch work and takedown entries.

    Students appreciate his ability to meet beginners where they are while still challenging advanced athletes with purposeful drills and situational rounds.

    Away from the gym, Scott is a cybersecurity professional—an eye for systems and risk management that shows up in his thoughtful class design and coaching style. Expect crisp fundamentals, relaxed intensity, and practical skills you can use on day one.

  • Jordan Chabinsky

    Jordan Chabinsky is a retired WNBF professional natural bodybuilder, a regional-qualifying CrossFit athlete, and a CrossFit Level 2 Coach who now applies that engine to Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu as a Brown Belt.

    His coaching bridges high-level strength and conditioning with the realities of grappling—emphasizing posture, breathing, mobility, and repeatable power that doesn’t gas you out. Expect clear progressions, simple cues that stick, and scalable training for every level, whether you’re building a base or sharpening competition skills.

    Students value Jordan’s attention to recovery and longevity as much as performance: smart loading, movement quality first, and habits that keep you on the mat.

  • Michael Cedrone

    Mike is a Brazilian Jiu Jitsu coach with a black belt and over 10 years of training experience.

    As a dedicated instructor, he shares his passion for the sport while balancing his role as a proud father of three.
